Three FAQ about Internet
Q: What are the fees for broadband Internet service & how does it differ between ISPs?

A: The cost of Internet access can vary from one ISP to another. Typically, there are two types of access, including modem & broadband. Depending on your needs, there are various benefits to both telephone & broadband access to broadband Internet.
Q: What is the difference between dialup & broadband high speed Internet?
A: Dialup access is called an Internet connection using a regular telephone line. Typically, connection speeds will be 56K or less. Broadband, high speed internet, in contrast, uses an array of connections to produce a more reliable & faster connection. As such, this service is often more expensive than a regular modem.
Q: How do I know about high speed Internet service or Internet providers in my area?
A: The first place to start is in the Yellow Pages telephone directory. Here you will find a list for each ISP in your area & some ads by category announcing their same monthly rates for subscribers. One of the largest ISPs is America Online, which offers a selection of local access numbers. Another excellent way of learning that Internet providers are available in your area is to browse the local paper & pay attention to ads, which often include listings of Internet access providers who offer special rates for new customers.
